Frankly speaking, we do not know what to coalesce for, Union of Democratic Forces chair Ekaterina Mihaylova said after two hours` talks with representatives of the Simeon II National Movement yesterday. This was the second meeting of the contact groups of the United Democratic Forces and the SNM. The only thing it was clear is that the SNM will follow its programme, Mihaylova said. According to UtDF`s leaders, there is a difference between the programme and Simeon II`s statements. Asked about this, Plamen Panayotov and Nikolay Vasilev of the SNM said that they would follow only the written programme. It is our impression we are asked to say `yes` to an empty sheet, Mihaylova said. Meanwhile outgoing foreign minister Nadezhda Mihaylova said the SNM could rely on her vote for any decision to the interest of Bulgaria, no matter whether the UtDF will participate in the next government. A possible coalition agreement might be reached with the UtDF, Plamen Panayotov said. The next meeting between the UtDF and the SNM is scheduled for tomorrow.
